The Book
Lyme Natural: Integrated Naturopathy for Lyme Disease, Co-Infections and Mould Illness
The Lyme Natural book is Amina Eastham-Hillier's comprehensive handbook covering naturopathic support for Lyme disease (Borreliosis), bacterial and viral co-infections, and mould illness. Drawing on 30 or more years of clinical experience and support for well over 8,000 chronic cases across Australia and internationally, Amina has distilled her integrated approach into a single reference that works for both patients navigating their own illness and practitioners supporting them. Whether you are seeking clarity on what is happening in your body or a step-by-step clinical framework for complex chronic cases, this book was written for you.
- Written by a Lyme-literate naturopath with 30+ years of clinical experience and over 8,000 chronic cases supported worldwide.
- Covers Lyme disease (Borreliosis), Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, Mycoplasma, other stealth infections, and mould illness in a single handbook.
- Explains how to support each body system holistically, using herbal medicine, nutrition, diet and lifestyle, alongside conventional medical care.
- Useful for both patients wanting to understand their illness and practitioners wanting a structured clinical framework.
- Available for purchase in Australia directly through this website.

Why Amina Wrote This Book
After years of consulting with patients who arrived having seen multiple practitioners, undergone extensive testing and still felt profoundly unwell, Amina recognised that the biggest gap was not effort, it was a coherent framework that held all the pieces together.
Lyme disease and its associated co-infections affect every system in the body. No single appointment, no matter how thorough, can convey everything a patient or their supporting practitioner needs to understand. A book could.
Lyme Natural is the distillation of what Amina has seen clinically: which patterns appear together, which body systems need support in which order, and how herbal medicine, nutrition and lifestyle each contribute to a patient's overall wellbeing when used as part of an integrated plan alongside conventional medical care.
What the Book Covers
The handbook moves through Lyme disease and its major co-infections in detail: Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, Mycoplasma and other stealth bacterial and viral infections. Each is explained clearly, with guidance on how naturopathic support may be structured around them.
Mould illness, which Amina sees regularly alongside Lyme disease in her clinical practice, is given its own dedicated coverage. The book explains why mould illness is commonly associated with these chronic infections and how a comprehensive naturopathic programme can support the body's recovery.
A significant portion of the book is devoted to the treatment structure Amina uses: how she approaches a new case, which systems she prioritises, and why the order of support matters. This is not a generic protocol, it reflects real clinical decision-making developed over thousands of consultations.
- Lyme Borreliosis and tick-borne disease: background, clinical presentation, naturopathic support
- Co-infections: Bartonella, Babesia, Ehrlichia, Anaplasma, Mycoplasma and more
- Mould illness: causes, overlap with Lyme, and naturopathic approaches
- Chronic stealth viral and bacterial infections
- Body-systems approach: supporting each system for holistic wellbeing
- Herbal medicine, nutrition, diet and lifestyle integrated into a structured plan
For Patients: Understanding Your Illness
One of the most common experiences Amina's patients describe is being told their results are normal, or being given a diagnosis that does not account for everything they are feeling. Lyme disease is under-diagnosed and widely misunderstood, even within the medical system.
This book gives patients language and understanding. It explains how these infections work, why they affect so many systems at once, and what a properly integrated naturopathic support plan looks like in practice. Reading it does not replace a consultation, but it helps patients come to their appointments better informed and more able to advocate for themselves.
Amina has written in a way that is accessible without being reductive. Patients with no clinical background consistently tell her this book helped them finally feel understood.
For Practitioners: A Clinical Reference
Amina has presented at more than 30 international conferences and events across 5 years and regularly educates practitioners on Lyme-literate naturopathic approaches. The book is a natural extension of that work.
For naturopaths, integrative GPs, medical herbalists and other health professionals supporting patients with complex chronic infections, Lyme Natural provides a structured clinical reference. It covers how to approach case-taking for these conditions, how to think about sequencing support across body systems, and how herbal medicine and nutrition can be integrated responsibly alongside conventional medical care.
Amina holds a Diploma of Nutrigenomics and incorporates gene testing into her own consultations. The book reflects her commitment to evidence-informed, individualised practice rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.
